Wetting surfaces (gardens, roads)

A sprinkler system could wet areas like roofs, roads or gardens so is can evaporate and cool down the air temperature. Other examples are fountains or waterfalls. This measure can be used in densely populated urban areas where the urban heat island effect proves to be a real issue.
