The interior design of Plean Plang House V2 is anchored in principles of thermal comfort, spatial clarity, and lived intimacy. The main living pavilion features exposed wooden trusses, deep eaves, and clerestory windows, promoting passive cooling and natural light. Interior volumes are proportioned for slow living, generous, quiet, and grounded.
The material palette inside continues the architectural logic: lime-washed walls, bamboo matting panels, handmade ceramic tiles, and local hardwood joinery create a tactile warmth. Every zone, from the open kitchen to the guest wing, has framed views of nature and strategic airflow to avoid mechanical cooling as much as possible.
Custom-built furniture is integrated into the structure: benches along windows, built-in bookcases, and low-height storage ensure minimal visual clutter. Shared areas are intentionally informal, allowing family and guests to gather in flexible ways, while private rooms prioritize tranquility and simplicity.
Ultimately, Plean Plang House V2 reflects nppn design and research’s ability to translate climate-responsive design into emotional and cultural experience, a second home that honors nature, comforts its occupants, and quietly prepares for the uncertainties of the future.
