Samsen Nok School
The interior spaces of Samsen Nok School are designed to serve both daily educational functions and experiential learning about water. Classrooms are configured for flexibility and transparency, with operable partitions, durable surfaces, and open views to the outdoor courtyard and water learning zones.
Color and material choices reflect both safety and engagement, bright staircases and handrails to support wayfinding, non-slip recycled vinyl floors in activity zones, and moisture-resistant walls on ground levels. Visual learning graphics about the urban water cycle, flood risks, and adaptation tools are integrated directly into the architecture, turning walls and walkways into teaching surfaces.

Long-Section : relationship between function and underground rainwater storage
Beneath the stand structure, the open undercroft becomes a multi-purpose shaded play area and informal classroom, encouraging students to interact with the infrastructure and understand its function. Integrated drains, tanks, and inspection windows allow students to literally “see how the city manages water.”Ultimately, Samsen Nok School is not just about mitigating flood risks, it’s about empowering the next generation through architecture that is active, intelligent, and immersive.
