Key Strategies :

Spiritual Landscape, Grid Geometry, Layered Tranquility, Material Sensory, Courtyard Typology, Reflective Space

DEVA Garden is a contemplative urban retreat, a space where geometry, material, and memory converge to create a spiritual refuge within the city. Inspired by the sacred symmetry of temple courtyards and the layered rhythm of traditional Thai gardens, the design uses a rational grid to structure emotional experience. At once formal and serene, the space encourages slow movement, reflection, and personal ritual.

Using computational design tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper, the layout of pathways and open spaces was generated from user-behavior simulations. By calculating potential foot traffic to program elements like playgrounds and the clubhouse, the circulation system was shaped responsively, prioritizing ease, flow, and moments of pause. In parallel, hydrological modeling was applied to the entire hardscape system to estimate rainwater absorption into the ground, informing material selection and surface gradients. Through these layered strategies, DEVA Garden becomes both a sensory and ecological landscape, an architecture of care, intuition, and quiet resilience.
